Patient Expectations for PCA Chemical Peels
PCA Chemical Peels deliver excellent visible results whether or not actual visible peeling occurs. Frequently, exfoliation is at a cellular level and not apparent to the naked eye; however these peels will create a tighter and firmer complexion and appearance. These treatments are formulated to preserve, promote and protect healthy skin, regardless of individual visible exfoliation following treatment. Results may vary.
A progressive, rather than aggressive approach is advantageous, as patients will experience minimal down time, yet will still have outstanding results. Regular peels also enhance the penetration and efficacy of daily care products used at home.
NOTE: Severe treatments may be necessary to achieve results you desire, and may require a medical doctor.

You will be having a light peel treatment on the day of your appointment. Please follow the outline below to prepare.
- Please refrain from these activities within 14 days of your appointment:
- Having a chemical peel
- Tanning in a tanning booth (this practice should be discontinued)
- Having a wax or chemical depilatory treatment (five to seven days)
- Getting Botox, collagen or other dermal filler injections (seven days)
- Microdermabrasion treatments - Please refrain from sun exposure to ten (10) days prior to your appointment. Do not come to your appointment sunburned (please let us know if you are unable to keep your appointment)
- Delay use of Retin-A, Renova, Differin, Tazorac, or Avage and high percentage glycolic acid products for approximately five (5) to ten (10) days prior to your appointment. (Using any of these will take the treatment deeper and make your results less predictable. Please consult the dispensing physician before discontinuing the use of any prescription medication.)

These superficial peels will result in little to no downtime. Treatments may include slight redness, tightness, peeling, flaking and/or temporary dryness. Most patients find it unnecessary to apply makeup, as your skin will be smooth, dewy and radiant following your treatment. If you would like to apply makeup, allow approximately 15 minutes for the pH of the skin to stabilize before applying foundation.

IPL Laser
IPL (intense pulse light) is a technology used to perform various skin treatments for aesthetic purposes, such as skin pigmentations, sun damage, thread veins and acne. The computer controlled flashgun hand piece delivers intense, visible broad spectrum pulse of light ranging from 400-1200 mm, that will target specific skin structures which is heated to destruction and reabsorbed by the body.

Sublime Laser
Sublative Rejuvenation uses fractionated bi-polar radio frequency to penetrate through the skin. This allows more energy beneath the surface of the skin to really maximize collagen production while keeping the top layer in tact. Hot Poultice
This heated muslin parcel of aromatic herbs and spices is a heavenly treatment in the raw. It has remained unchanged since 14th-18th century when a fragrant hot pack was administered to soldiers returning from war with muscle aches and bruises. Today the poultice is still used to alleviate pain or inflammation (especially good post-partum) by opening the pores and bringing medicinal heat to the muscle to induce relaxation. This massage concentrates on the major energy meridians that run throughout the body. It aims to harmonize the body, to loosen energy blockages, and to recoup deficiencies along these energy lines. It relaxes muscles while stimulating the blood circulation and energy flow. The herbal poultice treatment uses a blend of Thai and Chinese herbs wrapped in muslin and heated, then applied directly to the body in a kneading action. This traditional treatment has been used to treat muscle stiffness in key areas. Heat and herbs are absorbed by the body to help reduce aches and pains, increase lymphatic drainage, and condition the skin.
Reflexology
Foot and hand reflexology is a scientific art based on the premise that there are zones and reflex areas in the feet and hands, which correspond to all body parts. The physical act of applying specific pressures using thumb, finger, and hand techniques result in stress reduction, which cause a physiological change in the body. Additionally, acupressure is based on the premise that there are lines of vital energy, known as meridians along the body. The six main meridians are found in the feet. Ear Candling - Also known as Ear Coning, this ancient method is effective in helping the ears excrete excess wax build-up and debris naturally. Many cultures and civilizations including the Egyptians enjoyed the benefits that many modern-day clients report. While results vary according to the individual, many sinus and allergy sufferers find relief by being Candled when the seasons change. Others have the treatment only once or twice a year for maintenance. The method is simple: a hollow tube (usually made of cotton or muslin that has been dipped in beeswax or paraffin) is placed safely in the outer ear while one end is lit. The client is lying on his/her side and the head is draped. As the "Candle" burns, warm smoke spirals into the ear canal warming and loosening any blockages or build-up that is unreachable by standard methods. A sinus massage is included with this treatment to enhance the work of the Ear Candle.

Salon Etiquette & What You Can Expect From Us
We will be here ready to serve you in a professional manner. If we are unable to be here, all efforts will be made to notify you with as much notice as possible or you may be scheduled with another service provider of your choice.
We will allow ample time for you and the services requested. We will do our best to complete these services in a timely, competent manner. Unforeseen interruptions may occur, or occasionally a service may take longer than expected. We ask that you be patient during these situations, as we do try our best!
To ensure availability of your preferred appointment time, we recommend you reserve your next appointment before you leave. Reminder calls will be given to confirm your appointment time & date.
We offer a variety of high quality professional products for your hair, skin, and nails. These products will be used on you during your visit. Your service provider will recommend the products that will be best suited for your specific needs. We recommend you use these products at home to achieve desired results.
We attend on-going training on a regular basis to continue to keep our skills as sharp and updated as possible, to keep up with the ever changing needs of our industry. We travel, spend time and money to attend our training, and enjoy it, and take great pride in it also!
What We Ask of You
Please be here at your scheduled appointment time, to allow us ample time to complete the services requested. If you are not able to be here at your scheduled time, we appreciate notification with a minimum of 48 hours prior to your services. This will help enable us to offer your time to another guest. This is a courtesy to us, as well as other guests.
If no attempt is made to cancel your appointment, a $25 per hour, scheduled time will be charged to you, so we may compensate our service provider. We do understand that unexpected emergencies do occur, and will take this in to consideration with your phone call. We realize your time is valuable, and appreciate it if you consider our time valuable also!
Your desired results when you are here, is the ultimate priority! Please feel free to discuss your requests with as much detail as possible. Communication is the key to us helping you achieve your desired look!

Spa Etiquette
To best relax and enjoy your spa treatment, please arrive 10 -15 minutes prior to your spa reservation time. A late arrival may result in a shortened service time to accommodate the next guest. Please wear what is comfortable. We will provide you with a robe and sandals for your treatment. No children under the age of 18 will be allowed in the spa area unless they are receiving spa services. Please turn off cell phones and pagers during your services.
A credit card number is required to reserve your spa services reservation time. Cancellation or changes must be made no less than 48 hours prior to your reservation or 50 % of the treatment cost will be charged to compensate our service providers. No shows will be charged 100% of the treatment cost. Same day reservations cannot be cancelled. As a courtesy to us, as well as other guests trying to schedule appointments, we appreciate your cooperation in respecting our cancellation policy.
How to Receive a Massage
Massage may not be a part of your contemporary cultural experience. You may feel uneasy or shy about receiving your first massage. For that reason, we've put together a list of guidelines that should put you at ease and assist you in receiving the maximum benefit from your massage session. After receiving your first, we're quite confident that you'll have no such hesitation in the future.
- Tell the therapist about areas of your body that are injured, sore or tense.
- Mention any medical conditions such as high blood pressure, heart problems, headaches, varicose veins or recent surgery.
- If you have any type of infectious disease such as a cold or flu, or a skin rash, it is important that this is mentioned as massage will often increase the health risk and discomfort brought about by these ailments.
- During the session, close your eyes and allow yourself to relax as completely as possible. Focus your attention on breathing slowly and deeply.
- Allow the therapist to move your limbs into position. Be limp like a rag doll, do not try to help by moving your arms, legs or head unless the therapist requests your assistance.
